Remarqued print "A Christas Robin" by M. Morgan Warren for HM Queen Elizabeth II.  (A remarque is a print with second image upon it, often original work)

After hearing through the royal grapevine that Her Majesty had rather liked HRH Philip's newly-acquired remarque, Ms.Warren offered HM a special birthday present, in recognition of Her patronage of the Save the Children Fund of Canada.

Ms.Warren planned to render Balmoral Castle as it looked during the Queen's early summers spent there.

However, the small simple remarque grew to span the entire print.  Ms.Warren's "A Christmas Robin" is available (without royal remarque) as a limited-edition fine art print.

A CHRISTMAS LEGEND
Two thousand years ago
A king was crowned
With mockery and scorn;
On that day
A bird flew down
And plucked a thorn
